15 November 2009: We win, we win, we win!

Hi there friends! I'm coming to you live from beautiful Buenos Aires, briefly interrupting our (long-overdue) honeymoon to deliver you this slice of juicy news, hot off the press:
	We've been awarded 'Highly Commended' by the Virgin Responsible Tourism Awards! The awards were presented at the World Travel Market in London on November 11. We've also been included in their publication r:travel, which showcases all the winners. And if you're in the UK, you can read about the awards in The Telegraph's weekend travel section. If not, you can read the coverage of all the winners here. We're so honoured to be recognised for our conservation efforts in Raja Ampat. I am really starting to believe that we are fast approaching the tipping point in which enough people are engaged in conservation to finally halt the trajectory of destruction. If we work together, if enough people know about and understand the implication of the wholesale strip-mining of our natural resources, we can reverse the course and protect these treasures for all of us to enjoy. Don't you think??
